[00:00:00] Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome. Coming to you from somewhere deep in the heart of Texas, you're listening to The Unspoken Podcast, where nothing is off limits. Here's your hosts, Breyden and Cody.

[00:00:20] Hey, Dallas and everywhere beyond. Welcome to where today's gonna be a special episode. It's gonna be, you know, drag queens, you know, welcome to the dazzling world of drag where the wigs are big, the hills are higher, and the transformation is nothing short of magical. Yeah, makeup's on point. Makeup always on point. Well, for most people, some, some point. So hello, kings and queens. Welcome to our first episode that we're going to have a special guest. This is entitled Drag Queens, The Art of Transformation.

[00:00:49] We're gonna dive into the glittering universe of drag artistry. This is gonna be a two part episode. We know that you'll enjoy. So buckle up because today we're strutting down the runway of creativity and not just talking about the outfits. Have you ever, I mean, have you ever been a drag show, Cody? I've been a drag show. Of course. Yeah. Have you ever done drag? Fuck you. No. And yeah, I mean, okay, so I'm gonna say this lightly because I don't want to offend some of my family. But yeah, I was 13 when I did the one and only time drag.

[00:01:19] But it was for a point and a cause and to tell some of my family to fuck off, to be honest with you. Yeah. I went to church in drag. You went to the church? No. I did. It didn't burn down at the doors? It was for a point. I grew up in the church and I have a family that was in the church. Yeah. And it was because of them that I was going to retaliate. Okay. And that's why I went up there. Did you make your point known? I did. What color wig did you have on? Black. Black.

[00:01:44] I did have a black wig. She did some of my makeup. She did my makeup. But those grenade balloons that we used to play with as kids, fill them up with water, you know? Oh yeah. Water balloons. Put those as my titties. And uh, well, there was a picture of it. Let's just not explain the whole story. I took one of the titties out, held it above my head and popped the titty right above me, took my one off into it. In the church house, y'all. Yeah. But that's as far as we're going to go with the stuff.

[00:02:31] But I only did that. I mean, I'm not opposed to it. It's just not my thing. But yeah, I did it that one time. Actually, you know, I have a really cool video. I've been to a wig party and I wore a wig. Yes. There was a, he sent it to me. Yes. And they both had wigs. It was cute as fuck. I went to a wig party. Yeah. Two years ago, maybe. Yeah. That, I remember that. Sure did. That is funny. Have you ever done drag? No. Other than the big Indian makeup. That was Halloween. Thing that you did? It was Halloween. It was a chief and it was half naked.

[00:03:03] I did that. I haven't ever really done. No, I haven't. I know. Nothing against it. I just, I haven't.

[00:03:09] I have a lot of drag friends and I've been backstage while they get ready and stuff. There's a lot to say. A little bit. There's a lot of work. I bet. A lot of work. So we're going to go into a little bit of the origins of drag. Did you know that drag has roots that stretch all the way back to the Shakespearean England? Sure. Like, yeah. Men were playing women because women were forbidden to be on stage. That's crazy.

[00:03:31] Really? Yeah. And like the William Shakespeare type plays and stuff like that. And you, I mean, thank God there wasn't cameras or anything about them because you could see some big old burly man pretending to be, you know, Claudia.

[00:03:42] You know when nobody's home? I'm just practicing, bro. I'm just. Exactly. So, but yeah, that was like where drag originated was when William Shakespeare, because he had everybody on stage and he was easier because women couldn't perform on stage.

[00:03:53] I did not know that, but I mean, I can see it now. Yeah.

[00:03:58] So guys, we are going to go into our next segment. We have a very, very special guest to introduce to you guys.

[00:04:05] Hailing all the way from Amarillo, Texas.

[00:04:07] One of my very good friends.

[00:04:08] One of them.

[00:04:09] For many years.

[00:04:09] You go ahead. Introduce.

[00:04:11] Yeah. I've known him for many, many years. Met actually in, while he was doing a drag show.

[00:04:17] Mm-hmm.

[00:04:17] One of the drag shows.

[00:04:19] A little funny story.

[00:04:20] I was in a relationship. I was with my ex-husband and a friend that is here went to sit in my lap and I was being respectful to my spouse.

[00:04:30] And I just kind of like, I didn't push him, push him, but I was just like, yeah, I pushed him.

[00:04:35] But I just, I was just like, no, no, no, you can't sit here kind of thing.

[00:04:38] And he fell and you got back up and finished his bit.

[00:04:42] And we were cool after that.

[00:04:44] I mean, I did get mad one time because I was a little jealous back then and he was talking to my ex and I got angry.

[00:04:52] But we became best of friends after that.

[00:04:53] That's awesome.

[00:04:54] This is Carmela, a.k.a. Matt, all the way from Amarillo.

[00:05:00] Hi.

[00:05:01] So, yes, he did push me down.

[00:05:03] She down?

[00:05:04] I just wanted to reiterate that. Yes, he did push me down.

[00:05:06] But you got up like a professional and just scored it.

[00:05:09] Like, picked it back up.

[00:05:11] I'm like, she pushed me off.

[00:05:14] Y'all kick him out.

[00:05:15] Yeah.

[00:05:16] Or most people would be like, you ever saw him again?

[00:05:18] Look where I'm sitting, right?

[00:05:21] Years later.

[00:05:22] That is awesome.

[00:05:23] So how, how's your, like, how's your stay?

[00:05:25] You've been in Dallas for a little bit, right?

[00:05:27] I have.

[00:05:27] So I spent a couple of days here with the boys and it's been a good time.

[00:05:30] Yeah.

[00:05:31] Always a good time when you come to Dallas, right?

[00:05:32] Always my favorite time.

[00:05:33] Funny that y'all invited me to do this.

[00:05:36] And I joke saying Carmela never comes on this trip.

[00:05:39] So, you know, I usually come in and just take the time in with you guys.

[00:05:44] And as one of the guys, quote unquote.

[00:05:47] Yeah.

[00:05:47] So it's always funny because he calls me Carmela.

[00:05:50] He introduces me as Carmela.

[00:05:52] His family knows me as Carmela.

[00:05:53] And the whole time.

[00:05:55] So Carmela is his drag name.

[00:05:57] His name is Matt.

[00:05:59] But yeah, I met him as Carmela.

[00:06:02] I've probably met him as Matt, but I made friends as Carmela.

[00:06:05] And yeah, I just always call him Carmela.

[00:06:09] He comes here and says that he dresses and acts like a guy because it's his way to, you

[00:06:13] know, be fully a guy whenever he's around.

[00:06:15] And he enjoys that.

[00:06:16] But for the most part, outside of here, he's damn near always in drag if he's not at work.

[00:06:20] Not to mention we drink a lot of rumble and that makes me go to the bathroom a lot.

[00:06:25] He's in and out of that.

[00:06:25] A little hard to talk now.

[00:06:27] And I come see you.

[00:06:28] It's a lot of work to talk, man.

[00:06:31] I mean, you know, I had a comment for that.

[00:06:33] You're taking a little hole so your pecker hole can come out and be like a little girl.

[00:06:38] See, I don't know nothing about that, but.

[00:06:40] I watched it all.

[00:06:41] Don't forget you were backstage.

[00:06:44] It's a lot of work.

[00:06:45] But you know, I would.

[00:06:46] It's probably a lot of work for people that are really well endowed, too.

[00:06:48] That's got to suck.

[00:06:49] Oh, so I had this buddy.

[00:06:51] This buddy.

[00:06:52] Yeah, no, this is real.

[00:06:54] This buddy that did drag.

[00:06:56] And he did a Shania Twain bit.

[00:06:59] And he was very well endowed.

[00:07:00] But the way he made himself perk his butt up and walk all tight is he would tuck his penis in his butthole.

[00:07:06] And make sure to keep it in there.

[00:07:07] Clinch the whole time that he did his little bit.

[00:07:09] Wow.

[00:07:09] He didn't have to tuck.

[00:07:10] He just fucking wrapped it under and tucked it in.

[00:07:13] Like tucked it way in.

[00:07:14] Wow.

[00:07:15] I'm not joking.

[00:07:16] Yeah, that's.

[00:07:16] I want to go out of it.

[00:07:17] Man, I feel like I want to.

[00:07:18] All right, yeah.

[00:07:19] I just want to kick the door down.

[00:07:21] Yes, absolutely.

[00:07:23] So, yeah.

[00:07:24] So, well, thanks for being on the show.

[00:07:25] We're going to get to know you a little bit better.

[00:07:27] But we just want to get into a little bit, you know, go into some, you know, iconic drag queens.

[00:07:31] So, you know, no, we can't talk about drag without giving a shout out to some of the iconic ones like from RuPaul to Divine.

[00:07:36] Do you do you know who they are, Cody?

[00:07:38] RuPaul?

[00:07:38] Yeah.

[00:07:39] Yeah.

[00:07:39] Do you know who Divine is?

[00:07:42] Well, no.

[00:07:42] So those legends have paved the way for aspiring queens to unleash their inner fierceness.

[00:07:47] Divine is, you remember the Disney movie The Little Mermaid?

[00:07:51] The Little Mermaid.

[00:07:52] Okay, yeah.

[00:07:52] So Ursula was inspired by Divine.

[00:07:57] When you see Divine, the actual drag queen, it looks like Ursula.

[00:08:00] Or she, they look like Ursula.

[00:08:02] They look like each other.

[00:08:04] They look like each other.

[00:08:05] And so the writer was inspired by Divine.

[00:08:08] Okay.

[00:08:08] And she was a, she did some movies, like some drag movies back in the day.

[00:08:12] And she just gives, probably, she gives zero fucks.

[00:08:16] Like she had her cigarette and was just like chill and, you know, and it's crazy to think Disney, you know, did that and went off of that and it was really cool.

[00:08:22] And it's created an iconic villain, you know.

[00:08:24] But Divine was one of the ones that was up there with RuPaul, you know.

[00:08:28] But yeah.

[00:08:28] So, what are some other drag queens?

[00:08:32] You know, some like, that come to mind when you think of drag queens that just come to mind.

[00:08:36] Well, I would go Lady Bunny.

[00:08:38] Lady Bunny, the DJ.

[00:08:40] Yes.

[00:08:41] Miss Coco Peru.

[00:08:42] Coco Peru.

[00:08:43] She's got the iconic scene from Trick.

[00:08:45] Remember that movie from the 90s?

[00:08:47] Please don't ask me.

[00:08:49] Please don't ask me.

[00:08:51] Gabriel, Gabriel, Gabriel.

[00:08:52] I'm terrible.

[00:08:53] Have you ever had come in your eye, Gabriel?

[00:08:55] Gabriel?

[00:08:58] Yeah.

[00:08:59] One of the other ones that comes to mind is she owns a lot of the Chichi LaRue.

[00:09:04] Yes.

[00:09:04] Yeah.

[00:09:05] Very DJ and owns all the, most of the gay porn industries.

[00:09:10] But yeah.

[00:09:10] So, we're going to dive into some questions.

[00:09:12] I got some questions to ask you.

[00:09:13] Is that cool?

[00:09:13] Yeah.

[00:09:14] Absolutely.

[00:09:14] Awesome.

[00:09:15] So, we're going to talk about your journey into drag.

[00:09:18] Like, how did you, how did you come into drag?

[00:09:20] Like, what was, like, what's the story?

[00:09:22] What made you want to do it?

[00:09:23] And who was the first drag queen you ever saw?

[00:09:25] So, the first drag queen I ever saw was Gabrielle Diamond and Raquel Ross in Amarillo.

[00:09:32] Shout out to my local performers.

[00:09:34] But I went to my first show when I was 18.

[00:09:37] So, you know, 20 years ago.

[00:09:39] And it was just, how many years ago?

[00:09:41] You can do that math.

[00:09:42] So, we walked in and just were blown away by, like, the beauty and the glitz and the glamour of it all.

[00:09:49] And as a theater major, you know, I looked at drag as, like, an opportunity to take on those roles that you would normally never get a chance to play.

[00:09:57] So, it was kind of like that moment to have your little, like, Dorothy moment or, you know.

[00:10:02] I call it, I want to say, like, a Sasha Fierce moment because when people ask, like, with Beyonce, when she goes on stage, you become a different person.

[00:10:09] You become that person.

[00:10:11] And I've known it from before going on stage in the past.

[00:10:14] The roar of the crowd, whether they're small or big, it's a high that you can never reciprocate.

[00:10:18] And I can understand becoming two different people, a stage person and the normal person.

[00:10:22] You know what I'm saying?

[00:10:23] I get it.

[00:10:24] I mean, yeah.

[00:10:25] You know, mild-mannered housewife by day, you know, $2 hooker by 11 p.m.

[00:10:30] That's amazing.

[00:10:31] I love that.

[00:10:33] So, how did you come up with your drag name?

[00:10:35] So, I actually worked and worked and worked and thought to figure out what I was going to call myself because I could not come up with anything.

[00:10:43] And so, I kind of left that in the owner of the bar's hands.

[00:10:46] So, when I got invited to do my first show, the host that did that show, she always did a theme once a month.

[00:10:55] And so, it was Broadway.

[00:10:57] Okay.

[00:10:57] Which I was like, show tunes.

[00:10:58] You know, show tunes is exactly what I wanted to do.

[00:11:01] And so, she invited me in and I was like, okay.

[00:11:05] The bar owner, I went out to him, I think on like a Tuesday and the show was that Friday.

[00:11:11] And I was like, I still have a name.

[00:11:12] About 30 minutes in, I'll have something for you.

[00:11:14] And I was like, okay, cool.

[00:11:15] And he texted me and said, come by the bar, your name's on the board.

[00:11:19] And I was like, okie dokie.

[00:11:21] So, rolled in and it says, you know, Broadway babies, whatever, starring so-and-so, so-and-so.

[00:11:27] And introducing Carmela Cruz at the bottom.

[00:11:30] And I was like, I love it.

[00:11:31] He was like, well, you know, Carmela's kind of like, you know, you got your Carmel little glow.

[00:11:36] Okay.

[00:11:37] Cruz because you're a whore.

[00:11:39] I'm like, where is it?

[00:11:41] I don't say so, but the same person.

[00:11:44] That's cute.

[00:11:44] I like that.

[00:11:45] Okay.

[00:11:46] I like that.

[00:11:47] Very nice.

[00:11:48] Well, I was talking to Carmela, but yeah, last night we were talking, you know, going over

[00:11:51] questions that I was going to talk to her about.

[00:11:53] And one of the ones that I wanted to know was like, did you always know how to do makeup?

[00:11:57] And for our listeners, like, that was a good story.

[00:11:59] Like, I think automatically, you know, drag is an artist.

[00:12:02] It's a different kind of makeup.

[00:12:03] What?

[00:12:04] Or it's a different style.

[00:12:05] How you do drag makeup compared to regular.

[00:12:07] Well, see, duh.

[00:12:08] But I mean, I personally, I don't know.

[00:12:10] I was telling Carmela, I don't know other than my friend Randy telling me concealer does this

[00:12:13] than you and war paint.

[00:12:15] But, you know, so I was, I was interested in that because do you, I mean, I have a drag

[00:12:20] for acquaintance that I know when he started out doing drag, bless his heart, that makeup

[00:12:24] was treacherous.

[00:12:26] You can't say his name.

[00:12:27] Oh, I thought you said.

[00:12:28] And so I was asking Carmela, did you know, did you do makeup, you know, growing up?

[00:12:32] Did you learn it?

[00:12:33] Did somebody show you and like share that story on.

[00:12:36] No, before that, anything really makeup related was always Halloween.

[00:12:40] Like, you know, I loved doing that kind of artistic, you know, scary killer zombie stuff.

[00:12:45] But no, when, when I signed up to do this, I, I found an entourage really quick.

[00:12:50] So I had other queens that could paint, paint my face and other ones that did hair and, you

[00:12:56] know, a lot of good friends that kind of jumped in and led me down the way because without

[00:13:01] them, I would have went out looking like a hot mess or a hotter mess than I was at the

[00:13:07] beginning hot mess.

[00:13:08] But no, I, I was lucky to have a group of people that like to help me out.

[00:13:13] And of course they, I always refer to them as they were artists.

[00:13:16] They like to take their time.

[00:13:18] So I had to sign up, you know, for an all day event because they take three hours to

[00:13:21] paint your face and they're trying things and getting to know your structure and getting

[00:13:26] to know what it is.

[00:13:28] And when you didn't know how to do it and you just sit there and you're like me, you

[00:13:31] can't just sit still too long.

[00:13:33] So, you know, you're getting antsy because like, you got to move around, do something.

[00:13:37] Yeah.

[00:13:38] And y'all guys are all doing it.

[00:13:39] So, but I was really quick to learn.

[00:13:41] I'm a fast learner just in life as it is.

[00:13:43] So watching them and watching the mirror and watching as the, the transformation would

[00:13:48] happen.

[00:13:49] I would learn what to do.

[00:13:50] So that way I could do it.

[00:13:52] Because my biggest thing with any drag queen is I think you have to have some bit of self

[00:13:55] sufficiency.

[00:13:56] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:13:57] To be able to do things on your own in a quick turnaround too.

[00:14:00] Okay.

[00:14:01] Nice.

[00:14:02] So that leads me into like my next question.

[00:14:04] When you do a show, how, how do you engage with your audience during the performance?

[00:14:07] Like what messages or emotions do you aim to convey or like when you're scratched at

[00:14:13] that last part.

[00:14:14] So when you're doing a show, like, do you, I don't like to sit in the front row because

[00:14:17] I'm going to know I'm going to get called out.

[00:14:19] So is that like something, you know, I let me sit in the furthest back because it is

[00:14:22] always for my eyebrows.

[00:14:23] They used to be pencil thin and now they're just perfect, but they're my bitch looks as

[00:14:27] somebody says.

[00:14:28] Absolutely.

[00:14:29] So when you go perform, like, do you call people out?

[00:14:32] I know it's not ugly.

[00:14:33] It's just entertainment, but do you, what do you, when you go to the crowd, like, what

[00:14:37] do you, do you look for somebody that looks bored or?

[00:14:40] I think we try to engage everybody in Amarillo.

[00:14:44] Like one of the good things is it's not, you know, we're not a big city, but we do have

[00:14:47] a pretty good audience that follows us and goes pretty regularly.

[00:14:50] So you just want to keep them all engaged and make everybody feel welcome.

[00:14:54] That's the biggest thing.

[00:14:56] You know, people have to remember that it's okay to have a little bit of vulnerability

[00:15:02] because I mean, remember where your man in a dress standing in front of you.

[00:15:05] So I mean, they might push you off their lap, you know?

[00:15:07] Yeah.

[00:15:07] Don't push somebody down, but don't get too offended by the things that we're saying.

[00:15:11] It's all in fun and games.

[00:15:13] Yeah.

[00:15:13] You never entertainment.

[00:15:14] Comedy relief in a way.

[00:15:15] But as far as like, yeah.

[00:15:17] And you have to be, you know, if you're going to engage people, you have to have things

[00:15:20] ready to come out of your mouth.

[00:15:21] But as far as the entertaining part of it, I'm not, am I, you know, the world's greatest

[00:15:27] drag queen?

[00:15:28] Absolutely not.

[00:15:29] Do I have things I can still work on?

[00:15:30] Absolutely.

[00:15:31] Am I a dancer?

[00:15:32] Not by anything.

[00:15:35] But do I know how to lip sync?

[00:15:38] Absolutely.

[00:15:38] You could lip sync on your life?

[00:15:39] I could lip sync.

[00:15:40] Yeah.

[00:15:40] Oh, shut up, RuPaul.

[00:15:41] See, I know RuPaul.

[00:15:42] Oh, shit.

[00:15:43] Oh, my God.

[00:15:43] Do I, um.

[00:15:44] I'll watch this long.

[00:15:47] That's my claim to what I do is, you know, I know my words.

[00:15:51] And that's, that's the biggest thing.

[00:15:52] People still go out.

[00:15:53] People have been doing the same song 20 years.

[00:15:55] Have you ever heard of the worst of the song?

[00:15:56] I have.

[00:15:58] The song.

[00:15:58] Or, you know, you learn a song that.

[00:16:00] So what are you doing when you forget the worst of the song?

[00:16:02] You.

[00:16:03] Death drop.

[00:16:04] Oh, the death drop.

[00:16:05] Oh, the death drop.

[00:16:06] Oh, the death drop.

[00:16:06] Death drop.

[00:16:07] There's no death drop for you.

[00:16:09] There might be a triple kick.

[00:16:10] And that hurts, too.

[00:16:12] So.

[00:16:12] But, no, that's when you do that sly little, like, walk away from the crowd and then turn

[00:16:16] back when you know the worst again.

[00:16:18] So you're clever on that one.

[00:16:21] But, no, if I'm really not comfortable with the words, I try to change the song.

[00:16:25] So would you ever try out for Drag Race?

[00:16:26] Five.

[00:16:27] A couple times.

[00:16:29] But it's a lot of work.

[00:16:31] You could do it.

[00:16:32] It's, you know what?

[00:16:33] Years ago, I would have said yes.

[00:16:35] Nowadays.

[00:16:35] Why not?

[00:16:36] Because I stopped watching about season 10.

[00:16:38] The ones that I see, they're your age.

[00:16:40] I don't know how else to say that.

[00:16:42] I mean, seriously.

[00:16:44] I don't know.

[00:16:46] It's not just.

[00:16:47] Some of them were young, too.

[00:16:49] I mean, like.

[00:16:49] I can tell you, like, I went through the application process because I wanted to see what it was

[00:16:53] like.

[00:16:53] So, it's like one of those.

[00:16:56] It's a little bit long, but.

[00:16:57] It's in, like, a video and everything.

[00:16:59] Mm-hmm.

[00:16:59] You do that.

[00:17:00] You have to send your closet.

[00:17:01] You have to show them looks.

[00:17:01] You have to show them.

[00:17:02] Oh, your drag closet.

[00:17:03] Oh, your.

[00:17:03] That kind of stuff.

[00:17:04] All the hundred wigs.

[00:17:05] Well, yeah.

[00:17:06] So, we were talking about wigs.

[00:17:07] I was like, how many wigs do you have?

[00:17:09] Yeah.

[00:17:09] A hundred and forty wigs.

[00:17:11] And they have a name.

[00:17:12] Every one of them.

[00:17:13] Yes, they are.

[00:17:14] They're in Ziploc bags and they got a name on them unless there's not.

[00:17:17] Why is the spiky litter?

[00:17:18] They're too big.

[00:17:20] The spiky.

[00:17:20] So, yeah.

[00:17:21] They just range from just Karen cuts to, like.

[00:17:25] It's whatever I feel.

[00:17:26] You know, there's.

[00:17:27] I have one named Morticia.

[00:17:28] Shout out, Susan.

[00:17:29] She gives me a Morticia.

[00:17:31] I have one.

[00:17:33] I have one named Cher because she's big curly.

[00:17:36] I have one named Dolly because it's long.

[00:17:37] Dolly.

[00:17:38] Big curly.

[00:17:39] I have.

[00:17:39] My favorite.

[00:17:39] It's just pertaining to the persona that you're portraying.

[00:17:41] Sometimes.

[00:17:42] But, no.

[00:17:42] Some of them are characters from, like.

[00:17:44] Like, the look gives me a character in my brain.

[00:17:46] Okay.

[00:17:46] A lot of TV and movies.

[00:17:47] So, like, I have one named Gail Weathers.

[00:17:49] So, do you make your own outfits?

[00:17:51] Sometimes.

[00:17:52] Okay.

[00:17:52] What are the other times?

[00:17:54] Sometimes I buy them.

[00:17:55] Oh.

[00:17:55] Other performers who make their outfits.

[00:17:57] And can sell a lot better and faster.

[00:17:59] That sell their outfits.

[00:18:00] Yep.

[00:18:01] So, Lindsay Adams, you know.

[00:18:02] Right.

[00:18:03] Your roommate.

[00:18:04] Right.

[00:18:04] I mean, how to make.

[00:18:04] Yes, my old roommate.

[00:18:05] Is.

[00:18:06] She taught me how to sew.

[00:18:07] And she is a fantastic seamstress.

[00:18:10] And she does a lot of work for, like, girls here in Dallas as well, too.

[00:18:13] She used to live in Dallas.

[00:18:14] And so, she taught me how to sew.

[00:18:16] She actually showed me how to cut the pattern.

[00:18:18] Figure it all out.

[00:18:19] And do that kind of stuff.

[00:18:19] So, I learned a lot from her.

[00:18:22] So, who's your.

[00:18:23] Who's your drag mother?

[00:18:24] Do you have a drag mother?

[00:18:25] That would be Lindsay Adams.

[00:18:27] Lindsay Adams.

[00:18:28] Okay.

[00:18:28] That's who taught me.

[00:18:30] All right.

[00:18:30] Real quick.

[00:18:30] On the spot.

[00:18:31] If you had to give each one of us a drag name, what would it be?

[00:18:34] Oh, good Lord.

[00:18:36] Come on.

[00:18:36] This has to be first name.

[00:18:38] That's it.

[00:18:39] Just the first.

[00:18:39] Okay.

[00:18:40] God.

[00:18:41] Lord Braden.

[00:18:42] Wow.

[00:18:44] You can see.

[00:18:44] Let me see.

[00:18:45] I've never thought about Raven's trash.

[00:18:47] No, just see that.

[00:18:54] Oh.

[00:18:54] Okay.

[00:18:55] Give me a second.

[00:18:56] I will pop these names out in a minute.

[00:18:58] All right.

[00:18:59] All right.

[00:18:59] Okay.

[00:18:59] Marinate.

[00:19:00] We'll give you.

[00:19:00] Marinate.

[00:19:01] By the end of it, you got to get us on.

[00:19:02] I mean, I'd love to call, you know, Cody Lady Glitter Sparkles, but.

[00:19:06] That's my niece.

[00:19:08] Lady Glitter Sparkles?

[00:19:09] She had a big hair since little.

[00:19:11] Yes.

[00:19:12] I love you, Raven.

[00:19:12] Look at the pigtail.

[00:19:13] She's cute.

[00:19:14] Man, she looked like Lady Glitter Sparkles.

[00:19:15] Yeah.

[00:19:15] The trolls.

[00:19:17] She.

[00:19:18] That dinosaur.

[00:19:19] Or that.

[00:19:20] So, do you.

[00:19:22] So, when you perform.

[00:19:23] Do you perform.

[00:19:23] Like, when you come.

[00:19:24] I know you performed in Dallas before.

[00:19:25] Do you just travel and perform?

[00:19:27] Or do you just have a home base that you just perform at?

[00:19:30] Or.

[00:19:30] I stay local.

[00:19:32] I like Emerlo.

[00:19:33] So.

[00:19:33] I mean, I've just moved back to Emerlo.

[00:19:35] So, I was in Lubbock and Clovis.

[00:19:37] And so, I traveled back to Forest to Emerlo.

[00:19:39] I actually have a friend.

[00:19:40] He used to live in Clovis.

[00:19:42] His name is Eloy.

[00:19:44] And he does Jenny Rivera.

[00:19:45] He's really good Jenny Rivera.

[00:19:47] And he's Eloy as Jenny.

[00:19:48] Yeah.

[00:19:49] Did he move to like Albuquerque?

[00:19:50] He possibly did.

[00:19:51] Yes.

[00:19:52] But he would do these videos and have these wigs and just add the whole shebang in the

[00:19:57] sparkly boots.

[00:19:58] And I'm like, you.

[00:19:59] Like, I love that for you.

[00:20:00] But yeah.

[00:20:01] That's pretty cool.

[00:20:04] So, going into identity and expression.

[00:20:07] How do you, as a performer, how do you view drag as a means of self-expression?

[00:20:11] Like, in what ways has it influenced your personal and artistic identity?

[00:20:16] Well, it is an artistic outlet for sure.

[00:20:20] But I, for me, it's been a confidence booster.

[00:20:24] You know?

[00:20:24] Yeah.

[00:20:25] She can, she gets away with things that Matt would do.

[00:20:29] To a point.

[00:20:30] Matt's kind of grown into his own a little bit.

[00:20:32] But, you know, when you put that facade on, you know, you kind of get away with a little.

[00:20:36] Your confidence goes up.

[00:20:38] Your self-esteem shoots up and things like that.

[00:20:41] And so you're not afraid because you're kind of hidden in a way.

[00:20:46] But, as I've grown into it, and, you know, I remember coming up and everybody, I was just,

[00:20:51] yes, ma'am, yes, ma'am, yes, sir.

[00:20:53] You know, whatever.

[00:20:53] I listened and whatever anybody told me, I was like, okay, I'll do that.

[00:20:56] I'll do that.

[00:20:57] And one of my good friends, Azariah, she taught me one day.

[00:21:01] He was like, you gotta stop being such a yes person.

[00:21:03] You know, say no and stand up for yourself.

[00:21:05] They probably regret that now because now I don't take any crap and I'm a bitch.

[00:21:10] You know, you have to be a villain in somebody's story.

[00:21:12] So, right.

[00:21:13] That's kind of where it's at now.

[00:21:14] What about going out in public?

[00:21:16] How does that affect you?

[00:21:17] Well, I like to sparkle.

[00:21:20] No, being in drag.

[00:21:21] In drag, going out in public?

[00:21:23] Yeah.

[00:21:26] Do you get negative?

[00:21:28] You know, I've only, I can recall, I've only gone out once in public, like in the day.

[00:21:35] Yeah.

[00:21:35] No, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:21:36] Let me tell that story again.

[00:21:39] Pride, this Pride, we went to KFC.

[00:21:41] Pride, it's my family.

[00:21:43] But, you know, you're in North Amarillo, like not exactly the best place, but the middle

[00:21:48] of the day at KFC.

[00:21:49] All right.

[00:21:49] Might not be too popular with the old ladies that are in there.

[00:21:53] But no, I've never, I'm very lucky.

[00:21:55] I've never really had a problem.

[00:21:56] And I've got a great family that backs me and supports me and lets me do whatever I want

[00:21:59] to do.

[00:22:00] So.

[00:22:00] Just call me if anybody gives you problems.

[00:22:02] That's you.

[00:22:03] You know, I, that what you say sounds familiar on an interview that I watched and it resonated

[00:22:08] with me personally because with, I've done music and I've done different things on the

[00:22:11] side and you have Brayden Marcus and you have Brayden Rockstar.

[00:22:14] The Oprah did an interview with Shania Twain when she, when her husband was cheating on

[00:22:17] and everything was going bad.

[00:22:20] And she put this picture of her on stage.

[00:22:21] She goes, how are these two people different?

[00:22:23] She's like, that woman has confidence.

[00:22:25] That woman is on stage.

[00:22:26] She is happy.

[00:22:27] She is there putting on a show.

[00:22:29] This woman is out.

[00:22:31] There's a lot to work on.

[00:22:32] She said she's depressed and her husband just cheated on her kind of thing.

[00:22:34] So I understand when people say there's two different personas, you know what I'm saying?

[00:22:38] And she said, coming back into performing that she gained the positivity and the confidence

[00:22:45] from Shania Twain, the performer to Eileen, who was, you know, who she is.

[00:22:50] And I get that because you, I've before in the past with some pictures of them modeling,

[00:22:54] like you look at that, that makes us a fierce motherfucker.

[00:22:57] And I'm like, I'm insecure as fuck.

[00:22:59] With my modeling, I'm a totally different person.

[00:23:01] Yeah.

[00:23:01] And it's like, put your Zoolander face on.

[00:23:03] Don't fuck with him, you know?

[00:23:05] Oh, dirty bitch.

[00:23:08] So do you have any plans to come perform in Dallas anytime?

[00:23:11] Well, you know, if somebody in Dallas is listening and wants to let me in, sure.

[00:23:15] But I know, you know, again, back being from my hometown, I'm very lucky because we grew

[00:23:21] up with, with the legends of Dallas.

[00:23:23] You know, we used to have somebody there every week from Dallas.

[00:23:26] I was younger, man.

[00:23:27] They were there.

[00:23:28] Who was your first stretcher?

[00:23:29] I don't know if it's a lot of events to them now, but it was great back in the day.

[00:23:33] I mean, it was.

[00:23:33] I remember you telling me that when we went there once.

[00:23:36] It really was great.

[00:23:37] I mean, there was some great performers.

[00:23:38] And they're still amazing performers and they're still working.

[00:23:40] There's just not as many.

[00:23:41] Yeah.

[00:23:42] People don't travel as much as they did after the pandemic.

[00:23:44] The first one that I saw?

[00:23:45] Yeah.

[00:23:49] If I could specify a name, it was at the, in Amarillo.

[00:23:54] The 212?

[00:23:54] The 212?

[00:23:55] I honestly probably would say Raquel Ross.

[00:24:01] Okay.

[00:24:02] I thought she was probably one of the first ones.

[00:24:04] I don't know if Samara was doing it yet.

[00:24:09] Probably.

[00:24:09] Probably Samara.

[00:24:10] Aaron, Gabby, Kilelo.

[00:24:21] I just can't think of all their names right now, but I saw quite a few in Amarillo.

[00:24:24] Nice.

[00:24:25] We all ran around together.

[00:24:26] I just can't really think of.

[00:24:29] See, my first one, her name, I didn't know.

[00:24:31] And still to this day, I found out that she was very highly respected was Erica Andrews.

[00:24:36] That was the first one that I saw.

[00:24:38] My first little gay boyfriend in Lubbock, Texas.

[00:24:42] And we went to Luxor and I went.

[00:24:44] Luxor.

[00:24:45] My first drag show, first gay club.

[00:24:48] Man, I was.

[00:24:49] Wow.

[00:24:50] And then it's funny because I don't talk to those people anymore.

[00:24:52] I haven't seen them in years, but it was the first time.

[00:24:54] And talk about just diving deep in.

[00:24:56] We went there to just a drag show, got a little drunk.

[00:24:58] And we went to this after party that escalated to a whole lot more.

[00:25:03] And I was like, people do this?

[00:25:05] Like, wow.

[00:25:06] It was a whole flash for me.

[00:25:09] But, and then I see people now, you know, nowadays, even some of the drag performers,

[00:25:12] I think one that we'd love to have on our show is Marissa Cage.

[00:25:17] And she talks about Erica Andrews.

[00:25:18] And I'm like, that's, she's very highly, she's passed now.

[00:25:21] What about backwards?

[00:25:22] How about backwards?

[00:25:23] We've talked about all.

[00:25:24] We haven't talked about a female that went, went boy drag.

[00:25:27] We haven't.

[00:25:27] And we're, that's, we're going to have Marissa on the show.

[00:25:29] So, well, no, I mean, well, no, she's still, she was a boy that went girl drag.

[00:25:33] Okay.

[00:25:33] I mean, like a girl that is, that goes boy drag.

[00:25:37] Like back in the world.

[00:25:37] You're talking about Reva.

[00:25:39] Reva.

[00:25:39] Reva.

[00:25:39] Reva.

[00:25:40] Why is it when we remember that?

[00:25:41] Reva.

[00:25:42] A boy that went girl that goes boy drag.

[00:25:44] She would put, oh.

[00:25:45] She used to come out and do both.

[00:25:46] She would do scruff.

[00:25:47] And she would be the boy.

[00:25:48] She'd do a boy skit.

[00:25:50] And Justin Bieber came along and she found her niche.

[00:25:52] No shit.

[00:25:52] Like that was her thing.

[00:25:53] She looked just like Justin Bieber.

[00:25:55] She would come out.

[00:25:55] You don't see many.

[00:25:57] There, see, one of my old roommates, John, he used to own a club in Reflections?

[00:26:02] No, not Reflections.

[00:26:03] He owned one in Fort Worth.

[00:26:04] And they had, correct me if I'm wrong, hybrid queens.

[00:26:07] And it would be, the females, it would dress as drag queens.

[00:26:11] And they would knock it out of the park.

[00:26:13] And then they had drag kings.

[00:26:14] Is that what they call them?

[00:26:15] Drag kings?

[00:26:15] Yeah, that's the girls that go.

[00:26:17] Yeah.

[00:26:17] And they would go up there and like, you know, what was it?

[00:26:20] Lean like a cholo.

[00:26:21] And it was like, what?

[00:26:23] You know?

[00:26:23] But yeah.

[00:26:25] But Texas has a lot of like the guys that stay male performers.

[00:26:30] Like Patrick Michaels.

[00:26:31] Patrick Michaels.

[00:26:32] He's got Reflections.

[00:26:33] Yes.

[00:26:33] Yeah.

[00:26:34] That's the name of it?

[00:26:35] I got it right?

[00:26:35] Uh-huh.

[00:26:36] Okay, cool.

[00:26:37] Yes.

[00:26:37] But there's tons of those guys.

[00:26:38] And that's really big.

[00:26:39] He does a big, I mean, Pyrotechnics and all.

[00:26:41] We saw it whenever he was doing just a whole big show.

[00:26:44] He writes his own music and sings his own songs.

[00:26:47] And I'm like, okay, creativity.

[00:26:48] Texas has like the Texas Forever pageants and things like that.

[00:26:51] So they do really good with the guys.

[00:26:53] And we've seen some great ones.

[00:26:54] One of my favorites was Neutron.

[00:26:55] He lives in like, you know, Diego or Seattle or something now.

[00:26:59] But yeah.

[00:27:03] So have you thought of a name for this one yet?

[00:27:06] I did a Google search.

[00:27:07] I better not have.

[00:27:08] You know what your name could be?

[00:27:09] No, because he needs to do it.

[00:27:10] Okay.

[00:27:11] Then I'll tell you after the show.

[00:27:16] So yeah.

[00:27:17] So let's move on.

[00:27:18] Moving on to the next one.

[00:27:18] So advice for aspiring queens.

[00:27:22] What advice would you offer to individuals who aspire to enter the world of drag?

[00:27:26] And what should they keep in mind to navigate their journey?

[00:27:29] And how should they start?

[00:27:30] That answer for me is always the same.

[00:27:32] Is be a sponge.

[00:27:34] Like learn.

[00:27:34] Soak it in.

[00:27:35] Listen.

[00:27:36] You know.

[00:27:36] Part of listening is not talking.

[00:27:38] Or, you know, talking to hear yourself talk sometimes.

[00:27:41] And I wish a lot of young people would remember that just in life.

[00:27:43] But if you would listen more than you talk and take some of that in, that could work.

[00:27:49] I still learn that to this day.

[00:27:53] So just on with another side question.

[00:27:57] To me, you watch Drag Race, right?

[00:27:59] Yes.

[00:27:59] Who is your favorite?

[00:28:01] My all-time favorite is Bianca Del Rio.

[00:28:03] No one will ever change my mind.

[00:28:05] Bianca Del Rio.

[00:28:06] She's a beast.

[00:28:07] You could just say she's the one who came up with.

[00:28:09] Not today, Satan.

[00:28:10] Not today.

[00:28:11] Oh, yeah.

[00:28:11] And just on.

[00:28:12] On.

[00:28:12] Just sassy.

[00:28:14] Like.

[00:28:14] And Lady Bunny.

[00:28:15] They're both.

[00:28:15] They're best friends.

[00:28:16] They just go back and forth.

[00:28:17] It's the most awesome thing.

[00:28:19] Yeah.

[00:28:19] It's pretty cool.

[00:28:20] But it's that.

[00:28:21] It's that quickness.

[00:28:22] Yeah.

[00:28:22] It's just sharp wit.

[00:28:23] Like she's always on and ready to go.

[00:28:25] And when you have an answer for everything, you know.

[00:28:27] You're kind of like that too with your words.

[00:28:30] Like what?

[00:28:31] She has to come up with something really quickly off the top of your head.

[00:28:33] And I'm like, what?

[00:28:36] Yeah.

[00:28:37] Absolutely.

[00:28:40] So.

[00:28:42] Do you have any questions that you want to ask, Cody?

[00:28:45] So I got a big question.

[00:28:46] I remember back in the day when I was backstage.

[00:28:49] And.

[00:28:49] It's a legit question though.

[00:28:50] They use duct tape.

[00:28:51] Do you still use duct tape to tuck?

[00:28:53] And does it fucking hurt when it comes off?

[00:28:56] So.

[00:28:56] What do you use?

[00:28:57] Like how does that process go?

[00:28:59] I remember those days of duct tape.

[00:29:02] I do.

[00:29:02] Yeah.

[00:29:02] It was a long time ago.

[00:29:03] Yeah.

[00:29:03] It was a long time ago.

[00:29:04] So thankfully I have learned other ways to maneuver that, make it work.

[00:29:07] So I don't duct tape anymore.

[00:29:09] But some people still do.

[00:29:10] Some people.

[00:29:11] But it also depends on how revealing their costume is.

[00:29:13] You know, some people really need to make sure things are locked and keyed away just in case.

[00:29:18] But no.

[00:29:19] And.

[00:29:20] But back in the day when you remember those days.

[00:29:22] Yes.

[00:29:23] Sometimes it did hurt.

[00:29:23] Sometimes if you were a little, you know, if you were doing more and you were a little sweatier, it was easier to peel off.

[00:29:29] Right.

[00:29:29] Yeah.

[00:29:30] Sometimes you were like, no.

[00:29:31] It's hurting.

[00:29:32] It's hurting.

[00:29:32] It's hurting.

[00:29:32] Bad.

[00:29:33] There was one time when we had, now that we're coming up on Halloween, I'd mention this to him because I don't think he's seen the movie.

[00:29:38] But when I was a kid, my mom watched that movie, Too Wong Fu.

[00:29:42] And have you seen it?

[00:29:44] With Leslie Snives and Patrick.

[00:29:45] Okay.

[00:29:45] So yeah.

[00:29:46] I didn't remember.

[00:29:46] I totally, Cody and I were talking about ideas for Halloween.

[00:30:18] About that part.

[00:30:19] You know what?

[00:30:20] They showed me this costume and I'm not wearing that.

[00:30:22] I want you to wear anything.

[00:30:24] It's a belt with like five strategic parts.

[00:30:26] There's no bottom part.

[00:30:28] There is a bottom part.

[00:30:29] It's just strips of nothing.

[00:30:31] It's a bunch of strips of leather.

[00:30:32] Y'all don't understand.

[00:30:33] I'm not wearing that part.

[00:30:34] Everybody else in the world will love it.

[00:30:37] I'm not wearing that part.

[00:30:38] Look here.

[00:30:39] Look here, Brenda Bolger.

[00:30:40] This will be the first Halloween that I dress.

[00:30:43] There it was.

[00:30:43] Did you catch it?

[00:30:44] Did you catch it?

[00:30:46] Brenda Boulders.

[00:30:47] Brenda Boulders.

[00:30:49] I'm writing that down.

[00:30:50] Yeah, fuck you.

[00:30:51] Is that Braden?

[00:30:53] That's you.

[00:30:54] Brenda Boulders.

[00:30:56] Shout out to those aren't people.

[00:30:57] I know they're not as big as I'm.

[00:30:59] Muscles.

[00:31:00] Absolutely.

[00:31:01] And what will Brenda do?

[00:31:02] Anyways, continue.

[00:31:03] You're going to wear a scapey costume.

[00:31:04] Did you ever see Hellbent?

[00:31:07] Hellbent?

[00:31:07] Hellbent.

[00:31:08] You've seen Hellbent?

[00:31:09] The Halloween movie?

[00:31:10] Remember the guy that just dragged that paid $300 for his makeup to look like

[00:31:14] that?

[00:31:15] That would be you walking in.

[00:31:16] All puffed up.

[00:31:18] Walking in your pink.

[00:31:19] Eating me out.

[00:31:20] I'd be the prettiest, ugliest bitch that you know.

[00:31:23] Damn.

[00:31:23] Damn you.

[00:31:25] They declared it clean.

[00:31:26] This Halloween I've been talked into wearing of.

[00:31:28] This is a landmark moment.

[00:31:30] Yeah.

[00:31:32] With stipulation.

[00:31:33] There's disclaimers.

[00:31:34] We'll not wear this.

[00:31:35] We're not going to do this.

[00:31:35] We'll do this.

[00:31:36] We'll do that.

[00:31:37] I'll show you my asshole.

[00:31:39] It wasn't.

[00:31:39] You wanted me to wear that.

[00:31:41] Y'all.

[00:31:42] Carmella wants you to wear a loincloth with a belt.

[00:31:45] I'm going to send that costume to you so you can post it on the podcast and vote.

[00:31:50] I know y'all do.

[00:31:51] What's it?

[00:31:51] Well, hey.

[00:31:52] Go anywhere.

[00:31:53] Yes or no.

[00:31:54] It's not happening.

[00:31:55] But I'd love to hear the voice.

[00:31:57] Whether it's happening or not.

[00:31:59] Unless you're paying money.

[00:32:01] Think if the fans.

[00:32:04] You owe it to the fans to give the people what they want.

[00:32:08] This leather.

[00:32:10] Blondage looking.

[00:32:12] That's hot.

[00:32:13] It was cute.

[00:32:13] Next to nothing wearing.

[00:32:15] That costume.

[00:32:16] I'm telling you.

[00:32:16] I met that costume like.

[00:32:19] If you wore that y'all.

[00:32:20] There would be odd.

[00:32:21] I told you I'm down to wear the mask thing.

[00:32:26] The cufflinks.

[00:32:27] The boots.

[00:32:28] And then y'all got to figure out the bottom.

[00:32:29] Can I explain something though?

[00:32:30] Because he just said he's down to wear the mask.

[00:32:32] The cufflinks.

[00:32:33] And the boots.

[00:32:34] He just doesn't wear the bottom part.

[00:32:36] Yeah.

[00:32:37] To those people.

[00:32:38] He named four things.

[00:32:41] Those are the four pieces of the costume.

[00:32:43] So.

[00:32:43] Yeah.

[00:32:43] There's nothing else to it.

[00:32:45] The only part that would be covered.

[00:32:46] Would be the waist with the little strappy leathery things.

[00:32:50] So.

[00:32:51] All right.

[00:32:51] So yeah.

[00:32:52] This year I guess I'm doing it.

[00:32:53] Yeah.

[00:32:54] And I'm excited.

[00:32:55] Because we talked about it a couple times.

[00:32:56] You know.

[00:32:56] Last year.

[00:32:57] I did one.

[00:32:58] And it was the most revealing that I ever wore.

[00:33:00] Of course this year is going to be cold.

[00:33:01] I hope not.

[00:33:02] Is it?

[00:33:02] I don't know.

[00:33:03] I don't know.

[00:33:03] You know.

[00:33:04] But once you get up in the crowd.

[00:33:05] It'll be fine.

[00:33:06] But.

[00:33:06] No.

[00:33:07] I'm going to.

[00:33:07] Me and.

[00:33:07] Me and.

[00:33:08] Me and team Carmella.

[00:33:09] Me and Carmella are teaming up.

[00:33:10] Of course she likes the word sluttier side.

[00:33:12] And I'm like.

[00:33:13] He's not going to wear that.

[00:33:14] So.

[00:33:14] He's not going to wear it.

[00:33:15] I think we'll come up with something for him.

[00:33:16] That he'll.

[00:33:17] Be comfortable with.

[00:33:20] And you guys can vote.

[00:33:21] It doesn't mean he's going to wear it.

[00:33:22] I'm not wearing that one.

[00:33:24] It was very.

[00:33:25] I.

[00:33:27] I wouldn't.

[00:33:28] I wouldn't stop laughing.

[00:33:29] I'd be like.

[00:33:29] We can't even leave the house.

[00:33:30] I gotta get my shit together.

[00:33:31] Oh man.

[00:33:32] He looks in the mirror.

[00:33:33] I'm not going.

[00:33:34] Like the Grinch.

[00:33:35] Oh that's it.

[00:33:35] I'm not going.

[00:33:36] Like.

[00:33:38] Yeah.

[00:33:39] Yeah.

[00:33:39] It's going to be really exciting.

[00:33:40] I think Halloween will be fun this year.

[00:33:42] I don't even know.

[00:33:43] I would even do one of those like painted suits on me.

[00:33:46] You're more naked than a painted suit.

[00:33:48] And wear spandex.

[00:33:49] Some kind.

[00:33:50] What y'all were saying.

[00:33:52] Everything's just flopping.

[00:33:53] And flapping.

[00:33:54] Spandex underneath that.

[00:33:56] That's a little.

[00:33:57] That's what I was telling you last night.

[00:33:59] Do some.

[00:34:00] Boxer.

[00:34:01] Well I'm sure he had something underneath that.

[00:34:03] A leather.

[00:34:04] I was just enjoying it.

[00:34:05] Oh absolutely.

[00:34:06] I mean.

[00:34:06] Like the costume that I wore last.

[00:34:08] I mean.

[00:34:08] Last year.

[00:34:08] Well it was a jock strap.

[00:34:09] Because there was the two pieces of loin cloth.

[00:34:11] And that was it.

[00:34:12] I'm not wearing a jock strap.

[00:34:12] Well I know you're not.

[00:34:13] That's what I'm saying.

[00:34:13] You're not.

[00:34:14] That's fine.

[00:34:14] But like the square boxer cut a brief.

[00:34:16] You know.

[00:34:17] Yeah.

[00:34:19] We have.

[00:34:20] I had a friend of mine that was.

[00:34:22] One of my residents.

[00:34:23] And she actually performs with Marissa.

[00:34:25] I think her name is Josephine.

[00:34:27] That's.

[00:34:28] I can't give her government name.

[00:34:30] But anyway.

[00:34:30] She was going to do.

[00:34:31] We were going to Mario and Luigi one year.

[00:34:32] And she was like.

[00:34:33] Let me design it.

[00:34:34] Let me design it.

[00:34:35] And she was so excited about it.

[00:34:37] She brought it up.

[00:34:38] That's why I got in my accident.

[00:34:39] Yeah.

[00:34:40] And yeah.

[00:34:40] He couldn't.

[00:34:41] And so she was ready to do it.

[00:34:43] And I saw her about two weeks ago.

[00:34:44] She's like.

[00:34:44] So are we doing Halloween?

[00:34:45] I'm like.

[00:34:45] I didn't even ask him.

[00:34:46] But like.

[00:34:47] Yep.

[00:34:47] Let me see.

[00:34:48] But she.

[00:34:49] She designs her own stuff.

[00:34:50] And she creates it.

[00:34:52] And just.

[00:34:52] She's been trying to design it for us for years.

[00:34:54] Yeah.

[00:34:54] And she's talented as well.

[00:34:56] But.

[00:34:57] It's a.

[00:34:58] It is an art.

[00:34:59] It's an art to have that eye.

[00:35:00] And to be able to build.

[00:35:01] Yeah.

[00:35:01] And build your own costume.

[00:35:02] And eye coordination alone.

[00:35:04] Of the sewing machine.

[00:35:05] Do you have a sewing machine?

[00:35:07] I have three.

[00:35:08] Three?

[00:35:08] Ask me how many I use.

[00:35:10] Have it there.

[00:35:11] If I needed to.

[00:35:13] I can do a straight stitch.

[00:35:14] Like nobody's business.

[00:35:16] My grandma taught me how to do that.

[00:35:17] I mean like.

[00:35:18] My grandma taught me too.

[00:35:19] I took it from my grandma one day.

[00:35:23] You're not using this anymore grandma.

[00:35:25] I'm taking this.

[00:35:25] I'm going to learn.

[00:35:28] So whether you're a seasoned queen.

[00:35:30] Or just a curious.

[00:35:31] So we're excited.

[00:35:32] To have you with us.

[00:35:33] On this glittery journey.

[00:35:34] It's been really fun today.

[00:35:36] It's a two part episode.

[00:35:37] We're going to have another guest.

[00:35:38] On the next one.

[00:35:39] And we're going to bring you.

[00:35:40] All the glitter.

[00:35:41] And all the fun.

[00:35:42] And tips.

[00:35:42] And all that good stuff.

[00:35:46] Just remember that everyone is a queen.

[00:35:48] Look at Cody's face.

[00:35:49] I knew it was going to get a reaction.

[00:35:51] Sassy and classy.

[00:35:53] But we want to thank you.

[00:35:55] For our special guest.

[00:35:56] Carmella.

[00:35:57] I'm going to somebody.

[00:35:58] Stupid.

[00:35:59] Thank you Carmella.

[00:36:00] For coming with us.

[00:36:00] We love you.

[00:36:01] We look forward to having you.

[00:36:02] Back on the show.

[00:36:03] And we're glad.

[00:36:04] That you came on last minute.

[00:36:05] We were recording last week.

[00:36:07] And I sent Carmella a message.

[00:36:09] Of me and Cody doing promo.

[00:36:10] For the Carmella episode.

[00:36:11] And he said.

[00:36:11] Y'all lost your damn mind.

[00:36:13] Thank you for coming.

[00:36:14] We really appreciate you.

[00:36:15] And hope you enjoyed your time.

[00:36:16] I had a great time.

[00:36:17] Thanks for letting me be on.

[00:36:18] Of course.

[00:36:19] Yeah.

[00:36:19] I'm so glad.

[00:36:20] Good to have you.

[00:36:20] So.

[00:36:21] Yeah.

[00:36:21] We just can't wait for your thoughts.

[00:36:23] Go remember to check out our webpage.

[00:36:24] It's going to be unspokendallas.com.

[00:36:25] You can check us out on Facebook.

[00:36:27] Instagram.

[00:36:29] And not Twitter.

[00:36:30] But.

[00:36:31] At least not on this page.

[00:36:32] Yeah.

[00:36:33] Stupid.

[00:36:35] And just leave us your comments.

[00:36:36] Leave us your thoughts.

[00:36:37] If you have some ideas.

[00:36:39] Or if you want to throw.

[00:36:40] You know.

[00:36:40] Want to be a guest.

[00:36:41] We'll interview you.

[00:36:42] I mean.

[00:36:42] Oh yeah.

[00:36:42] I mean.

[00:36:42] And there's a second part to this.

[00:36:43] So of course.

[00:36:44] We'll do another segment.

[00:36:46] Yeah.

[00:36:46] With another friend of ours.

[00:36:47] That's coming on.

[00:36:48] A whole different aspect of drag.

[00:36:50] Absolutely.

[00:36:51] A whole different aspect.

[00:36:51] Yeah.

[00:36:52] Different world.

[00:36:53] So.

[00:36:53] But yeah.

[00:36:54] Well.

[00:36:55] Brianna Ryder.

[00:36:57] Oh.

[00:36:57] That's your name.

[00:36:58] Sounds like Ariana Grande.

[00:37:00] Brianna Ryder.

[00:37:01] Brianna Ryder.

[00:37:01] Nobody went with Ryder.

[00:37:03] Don't even want to know.

[00:37:05] Big old bottom you.

[00:37:06] You're so funny.
